The ACM digital team is pleased to announce the partnership with three organizations to help our newsrooms provide regional and national news and sports coverage of their websites.
ACM has agreed to partner with the News Distribution Network to provide top national news, sports and entertainment video news on its websites.
Rodney Blaukat, director of online operations for ACM, and Allen Free, digital project managers, will begin rolling out launches for the national video players on ACM websites soon, with a target date of launch completion of March 1.
The NDN video player will be featured as supplemental content on the home pages of ACM’s websites, and will not be mixed or confused with the local multimedia video player. The NDN video player will be featured on the side rail, or in the lower portion of ACM website homepages.
To go along with ACM’s partnership with News Distribution Network, ACM’s digital team will also be launching two more content programs this spring.
ACM partners with CineSport
ACM has agreed to partner with CineSport, which provides unique video content on regional and national pro sports.

ACM, Bleacher Report to provide regional, national sports coverage
ACM has also agreed to partner with Bleacher Report, the U.S.’s fourth largest sports media website with more than 20 million monthly readers.
Bleacher Report will provide regional pro sports coverage, as well as national sports coverage on ACM website sports sections. For example, in our Chesapeake region, Bleacher Reporter will provide news feeds for regional pro sports team like the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens, Washington Redskins, Washington Capitals, Washington Nationals and more, as well as the top national sports stories of the day.
And the local newspaper staff will not have to lift a finger — the content will be fed onto the website each day. The regional pro sports feed will be catered to each region of ACM.
The launch schedule for CineSport and Bleacher Report will be announced in early spring 2012.
While there is no question our main focus at ACM is providing quality, engaging and up-to-the-minute LOCAL news, we also know our readers want more from us, and through these partnerships with NDN video, CineSport and Bleacher Report, we will be able to provide dynamic regional and national news content without putting more burden on our local newsrooms.
